Here’s the first draft. Warning: it’s gonna be rough….

It’s all one shot, no cuts.

Opens up tight on a kitchen microwave clock that reads “3:08”.
*off camera you hear a man singing softly, in a eerily vague tone ‘take me out to the ball game’*
Man (off camera)-“Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jacks.”

Shot pulls back, showing a dark, quiet kitchen. Baby bottles on the counter, pan past a high chair, possibly.
*man still singing*
Man (off camera)- “I don’t care if I ever get back”

Shot pans through are dark house, very common. (Maybe the common clutter one accumulates while having young children.)
*man still singing, volume raises as the camera pans through the house*

Shot, finally pans to an open doorway, where we see the man who we’ve heard singing, who’s holding a new born. It’s clear he’s trying to put the kid to sleep. (Obviously, he’s wearing an old Cardinals shirt, I was thinking an old Willie McGhee jersey.)

Man (his back to the camera)- “cause it’s root, root, root for the Cardinals. If they don’t win it’s a shame.”

*from the door way the camera gets tighter on the babies face.*

Man (back to the camera)- “for it’s 1,2,3 strikes your out at the old ball game.”

*baby starts crying*

*man starts singing ‘take me out to the ball game’ all over again*

Lower overall volume.

Narrator/Voice Over (in a whisper)- “this is how you build Cardinals nation….one fan at a time.”

Fade out….

That’s it, that’s the idea.
